About this deal

Tried via bluetooth (but why would you, as this uses the DAC on the phone) and found the effective range to be short and almost dependant on line of sight.

In this case, it makes for a pretty cool second setup for your living room or wherever you happen to have a pair of Active speakers lying around, but I certainly wouldn’t rely on it as my main setup. Simply press the WPS button and enter your home Wi-Fi password to integrate the S10 into your home network and begin streaming music within 30 seconds! In fact, S10 sounds fairly detailed, clean and well rounded, with a slightly warm midrange and a somewhat smooth treble, not a lot of upper treble quantity, but a fairly good bass presentation without considerable roll off in the sub bass. Customize and play the same song throughout your home from your speakers and manage everything that happens through the compatible 4stream app, developed by Arylic.I have chosen to build a linear 5v regulator to connect to the S10, which in turn is supplied by a 12v/1A switching regulator. I’m putting this 70 quid little box into thirty grand-worth of amp and speakers and it should sound pretty shit – it really doesn’t sound at all terrible and I’m not just talking for the money. Don't be fooled by its size, though—Arylic A50+ amplifier packs a punch and produces clear, well-balanced sound across all frequencies. EDIT: I've found the DLNA function works just fine if you only the 4Stream app for set up and use something else for streaming, eg.

Stuck at home recovering from surgery, I find the Arylic S10 useful for providing uplifting music throughout my home while I perform low level tasks that do not require me to be stationary. This is an irritation, but the quick fix is to use apps to control both devices (except for switching off the Arylic).Mijn vriendin luister vooral na Spotify en kan zich niet beklagen over het gebruik en mogelijkheden van de S10.

The app doesn’t have some basic features, like shuffling an apple playlist, but it does play music even if you are using audio for something else, which is nice if you want to play music all day long. The Arylic S10 is a tiny, USB-powered, wired or wireless streamer that does 24bit/192kHz, Airplay, Spotify Connect, QPlay, DLNA, UPnP, Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz, etc. While I don’t have much else to compare to other than bluetooth only devices for the same cost, or Google Chromecast Audio that is single input, the Arylic S10 is a very competent device if you are in the market for a wireless streamer preamp packed full of features. It’s a good start for listening to music but a pity that there is no amplifier out as an upgrade path. Ik heb ze ook al eens aangesloten op de nubert nubox a 125 en ook daarop is het alleen maar feest wat eruit komt. The remote really needs to be straight on for the remote to be responsive, and the EQ on the remote was useless.

Hi Matteo, I don’t have an S10 but an Up2Stream HD card but I noticed that the Wi-Fi also needs bluetooth activated to work well. As with most network devices it goes through the usual palaver of setting up on the network, which of course always initially fails.

I like this option when using an external Amplifier that takes OPT/COAX inputs my flac files never sounded so good! Arylic advised to get a DAC as it sounds much better with the DAC) There are more modules in the offer besides the DAC, but I don't think they are really necessary for me to start with, that is, I can install them myself here.
