I just recently got into the band gorillaz and was so excited to learn more about the lore and the story and everything I was quite disappointed when I found that the hardcover book is so expensive. Visually stunning and you can tell so much thought has gone into the design - extra little touches, like the gold foiling under the dust jacket, make it worth every penny for anyone who likes the Gorillaz, Jamie Hewlett or top notch design work. The original idea for the book was to be a compilation of all press interviews with Gorillaz from phases one and two. It contains previously unknown secrets of the band, such as future plans of the movie, new and rare art by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, the "low down" on Kong Studios, their headquarters, and the story of the truth behind the " El Mañana" video.

I bought a used version a whole 7 years after it was published for a total of 28 pounds which is a bargain considered this book sells for more than 70 in some instances. It covers the band from 2000 and their first EP, Tomorrow Comes Today through their 2006 tour ending at the Apollo Theater.
