HORI introduces the Fighting Stick Mini for Nintendo Switch, a NEW way to play all of your favourite arcade classics and fighting games. Despite its Lilliputian size, the Fighting Stick Mini has the Capture, Home, Minus, and Plus buttons you expect from a Nintendo Switch controller. Despite its compact size, the Mini Gamepad still packs in everything gamers need - right and left analogue sticks, R1/L1/R2/L2 buttons, action buttons and directional buttons. This is one of the few controller yours truly doesn’t have any issue having first and middle fingers on all four shoulder buttons due to their size and close proximity. At first the geometry does feel a bit strange, but finding a relaxed position where you just let the controller rest in your hands rather than trying to grasp it makes it feel natural.The specifications between the two ports are different, so please only use the lower USB Type-C port to connect your HORI Dual Charger. Separate joystick and throttle units to accurately replicate the “hands on throttle-and-stick” (HOTAS) controls of real fighter jets.

Hori has maintained their above-average quality compared to their competition rather well, with few points contention here and there, like how sometimes their D-Pads don’t stack up. Unfortunately, the Fighting Stick Mini is so lightweight that it can slide a bit if you use it on your lap. I recently bought one of their products, the Hori wired mini gamepad and I thought this would be a good opportunity to do my first review of a gaming peripheral.

Anyone who fancies the genre should invest in a quality controller designed with fighting games in mind. One thing I really dislike with this controller, visually speaking, is that the printing doesn’t extend to the top of the front shell. As stated in the title this is a wired gamepad so there is no need to recharge or change the batteries.
