About this deal

I wanted it to be a little different and so it’s really a book that heavily focuses on the HOW TO of weaning. Charlotte offers a number of one-to-ones with her exceptional team of nutrition, dietetic and healthcare professionals. In this beautiful, full-colour book, expert nutritionist Charlotte Stirling-Reed reveals her renowned method that has helped thousands of parents wean their babies confidently. And all of a sudden, it was just such a change, his whole character really changed and it was a really tough time. Based on a vegetable first approach, the perfect way to develop healthy eating habits and to tackle fussy eating before it begins, you'll be hand-held through the first 30 days of weaning as well as given lots of delicious recipes all the family can enjoy.

He started being incredibly fussy with his food and I remember for a few weeks scrabbling around being like, 'Wait, how do I fix this? Following the success of her first bestselling book ‘How to Feed Your Baby’, Charlotte Stirling Reed is about to launch her new book ‘How to Feed Your Toddler’. Charlotte Stirling-Reed is a leading nutritionist based in the UK and author of the Sunday Times bestselling How to Wean Your Baby. For me this was meant to be used as a Weaning Bible with everything you need to know to get started with weaning, all the facts, tips, information and the dos and don’ts as well as plenty of recipes that could be served to baby AND to a whole family. From weaning, fussy eating and beyond, award winning nutritionist Charlotte Stirling Reed works with brands, celebrities and parents to share positive, evidence-based advice on giving children a healthy start in life. What the kids love - and I talk about this a lot in my Instagram stories - is the baked banana bars which are one of the breakfast recipes in the book. It is informative, visually satisfying and my baby has had a positive start to solid food as a result of this book. How to Feed Your Family is much less about the SCIENCE of feeding little ones – How to Wean Your Baby and How to Feed Your Toddler help deal with very scientific and advice-led elements of feeding babies and toddlers…This book is more of a Family Feeding BIBLE – it’s the practicalities, the need-to-knows and the tried and tested tips that help take the pressures off of feeding a family.

It wasn’t an easy task, especially as I had to ensure I included variety, all the allergens, BLW options and take into account multiple preferences and make it all super simple. That's where having a good selection of family cookbooks from the likes of Charlotte Stirling-Reed comes in useful. Leave to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and leave to cool completely. Lastly, How to Wean Your Baby has a recipe section (on top of the 30 days of recipes from the step-by-step plan! And I think there are so many wonderful cookbooks out there but for me, the difference with this is that it has that content, it's there to support as well as give delicious recipes.

I liked the theoretical introduction to weaning a baby and I think it’s a great source to get all the info. It’s really been a labour of love and I’m genuinely so excited to help many people to know exactly HOW to wean their baby for years to come.I really hope this is helpful, the information in this blog doesn’t convey EVERYTHING about each book by any means, but it’s just a bit of a summary on why I wrote it, how it all occurred and what you can expect. I think we grew up in a society which was really damaging to self-esteem, to mental health, to our relationship with food and I think it didn't help that at home, there's often quite a lot of pressure.

Charlotte Radcliffe’s consultancy The Nutrition Consultant has won the ‘Hospitality Business of the Year’ award. It guides you through how to approach mealtimes, what foods to introduce when (including allergens), what textures to aim for and 30 different 'meals' for the first 30 days. I use a lot of frozen veg in the book and I've got a couple of really great recipes that use frozen veggies, like a frittata and pasta.I felt strongly that this was really essential as I had had so many parents come to me and just say “tell me where to start”.
