About this deal

The trouble with Antichrist is that it falls into no specific genre and therefore upsets the general public as they don't know how to approach it. Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. It is a powerful and very unsettling depiction of a world where according to von Trier, a self-admitted atheist and Nietzsche admirer, only pain and evil are eternal. Humourously the effects team admit they’re probably the only people that watch the scene closely, if only to make sure there are no noticeable mistakes. Do not watch this film if you're looking for a classic Horror movie, nor would i recommend watching this film if you 'wanna watch sum sick stuff legally'.

Lars von Trier's controversial exploration of depression, guilt and sexuality stars Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg as a couple grieving the death of their young son. Antichrist' is definitely a hard movie to watch, both for its extreme content and its occasionally icky thematic intent, but it's still a movie that demands and deserves attention, and with repeated viewings your understanding of the film (and the filmmakers' intent) will likely evolve.

Danish director Lars von Trier's Antichrist is without a doubt the most disturbing film to appear on Blu-ray since the format was launched. Six months after millions of people disappeared in the Rapture, the world is just beginning to recover.

Again I would have liked more analysis of the film, and maybe some explanations for some of the things that appear in the film, but I still rather liked it, primarily because it’s fairly loose, and, surprisingly, fairly funny. Eden—Production Design is a quick 5-minute piece about finding the location and the cabin that appears in the film. Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg play a grieving couple retreat to Eden , their isolated cabin in the woods, where they hope to repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But then things devolve into messy horror movie clichés, which resolve with some kind of bafflingly misogynistic image of dead women, throughout the ages, coming out of the woods, in a ghostly march.Audio Commentary This is a very lively and entertaining commentary with director von Trier and British film professor Murray Smith. She becomes distraught and is hospitalized, but her husband, who is a psychiatrist, attempts to treat her.

The mother (Charlotte Gainsbourg) descends into a deep depression and her husband (Willem Dafoe) a therapist takes it upon himself to treat her. Eden – Production Design" (HD, 5:12) isn't the most interesting bit in this section of the disc, but it does offer a hilarious detail – that the cabin they had built had to be left alone because some sort of rare, indigenous bird had chosen to nest near it. From the accompanying booklet: "The film was shot in 4K resolution with the RED One Digital Camera; in addition, the Phantom HD Camera was used for the high-speed sequences. The Making of 'Antichrist' Again, this is broken down into little segments (these segments have unprecedented access, having been overseen by von Trier's production company). But this most confrontational work yet from one of contemporary cinema’s most controversial artists is no mere provocation. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The colour scheme is dark but the colours do still manage to have a certain pop, and black levels are deep and rich.
