About this deal

no, seriously, this is exactly what went through my mind during the majority of my reading it : I can’t do this with you anymore. But learning to accept what they are together isn’t going to be so easy for either of them and learning to trust in the heart can be a bigger challenge than either of them expected. So, he asked her to temporarily marry him so she could use his insurance until she could stand on her own. I loved everything about it, including the realistic way that showed the natural fear of judgement from others due to where they each were in their lives at the time of their getting together. Jude and Skylar’s love story is sweet and very sensual, and is great for readers who want to read an age gap but without any taboo factor.

I love Carian Cole and her writing; however, for me, there were things which pulled it slightly back from 5 stars. But I was so captivated by the last (and only other) Carian Cole book I read that it was a chance I was willing to take.

As a blogger, author, and narrator of the book world, Desiree Ketchum has run the full gamut, and knows the ins and outs of building a story from the ground up. Because here I am, eighteen years old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

I have an age gap relationship myself, so I know there are circumstances that can lead it to be successful. I found this emotional rollercoaster of a romance to be so well written, so captivating, so engaging. It's a 'friends to lovers' romance with an age gap and insanely frustrating slow burn (in the best way, of course! He has a good construction company business, his own house, and he keeps to himself most of the time.

I can totally see why these two ended up married, and they both acknowledge that the situation is unconventional and a little “wrong. It's a standalone age gap romance with slow burn, captivating plot, keeping in suspense and touching some many different issues, that I wasn't able to put it away. And there's a surprise cameo by a certain character that I absolutely LOVED but won't give away because it's the best surprise. Please authors make nice caring heroes be the new trend, we can only take so much assholes and the limites has been exceed. Although the heroine was of age, I can see where this story could be a turn off or trigger for some as she was just 18 (hero in his thirties). As much as I love marriage of convenience, you really have to be okay with the age gap to enjoy this.

We had a lot in common - like our love of old rock music and vintage fast cars and our aversion to relationships. I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts.

While the pacing is off at first, once you reach about fifteen percent, you will be so drawn into the story. I loved the little easter egg we got with one of her other characters, though this is definitely a stand alone.
