About this deal

I was obsessed with this in my early teens, and remembered it fondly from its release in 04 (When i was only 4 lol). Whilst Britney was under an abhorrent and abusive conservatorship at the hands of her father, I had refused to repurchase any fragrances with her name on them due to the fact that money was going in her greedy family’s pockets, not hers. This fragrance is aquatic and floral and light, bursting with magnolia, pear, lotus, jasmine, vanilla and musk.

Putting it simply, it's a floral, fresh fragrance with a nostalgic quality to it, not just due to it being almost 20 years old, but because I recognize it from some *thing*, not someone, from my childhood years. But despite being a fairly strong floral, Curious is still sweet enough to suit women of all ages (not that perfume has any age! Britney Spears Curious perfume 100ml, an Exhilarating floral fragrance from britney, celebrating her birthplace of Louisiana. I loved everything about it and it started me on my journey of appreciation and admiration for several of Ms. Soapy florals aren’t as popular anymore (curious, glow, heavenly etc) but that doesn’t stop them from being beautiful. We all talk about wanting realistic scents but easily forget that in nature, scents are often pungent, raw, animalic. I use it the most in the spring/summer as it's light and kinda refreshing, but it's a good year-round fragrance for any age.

Longevity and sillage are both a low moderate on me wich it great so the tuberose isn’t headache inducing for me. I bought a new bottle made from 2022 and the liquid matches the color of the bottle, but my first perfume bottle became a yellow liquid but with the blue of the bottle, it became brown. Whatever you get to the best parts of this perfume really depends on your body chemistry (and probably the weather)… but if you do… it’s beauty. It’s an aquatic floral that doesn’t rely too much on water Lily or lotus so the florals aren’t watery and the pear is what’s providing the sweet watery vibe. It’s not intensely sweet the way most Britney perfumes are and it has a rather old school perfumey smell about it. A Curious EDP for the inquisitive at heart, it celebrates Britney's birthplace by taking the essence of Louisiana Magnolia.

Also, I'm a Gemini and Geminians tend to be fairly unique, independent types anyway so this perfume fits the bill perfectly! SEASONS: Spring or summer - The fruitiness of the scent makes it seem like it should be worn during the warmer seasons. The magnolia and tuberose add a small amount of creaminess that natrually comes from these flowers and it makes it so luxurious. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.it doesn’t last the longest, but it has a faint bit of vanilla on the dry down which helps the longevity slightly, still I find myself having to reapply once or twice, which i don’t mind as, the fragrance is so pretty! If you didn't recognize Curious by the scent alone (and most 90s girls would), you wouldn't be surprised to find this worn by a colleague at work or a teacher in high school. I usually use it once, remember I don't like it, forget about it, and then repeat a year or two later. Has a bit of sweetness from the pear, which is rather timid here comparing to, let's say, Ariana Grande's perfumes, but not as beautiful as Mon Guerlain's Sparkling Bouquet.

This reminds me of my mom or grandma because of the floral notes, the Jasmine and Tuberose really stands out to me when this perfume hits the middle notes. I feel like I'm gonna get dragged for saying this, but the opening of this perfume was very reminiscent of J. Britney Spears personifies daring and piques the curiosity of young women everywhere, whilst celebrating moments of impulse. From a 45yo who is late to many parties (and surely enjoys them, look at my Fragrantica), this is the same scent of hair sprays of 30 year ago. I remember being a pre-teen and sniffing the tester for this perfume in magazines, and of course also her iconic commercial. Sadly the bottle is a shadow of its former self, with a cheap, tacky blue plastic atomizer, and no crystal heart charms adorning the neck.
