The school bullies are a funny pair of smart and dumb, the iBabies a hilarious duo of young fans. I really enjoyed seeing Fred and Ellie explore their desires and use the controller, and I also thought the slightly sad and tender scenes of them and their parents were well handled (with themes of obsession and contemporary insular behaviour), though I wanted the controller to play more of a role in bringing them all together. If you are classed as a data controller or a data processor, you are responsible for ensuring that you comply with the GDPR and demonstrate compliance with the regulation’s data protection principles.

According to Article 28 of the GDPR, if any data processing activities are carried out upon the instruction of a controller, the data processor must implement appropriate organizational and technical measures to meet the guidelines set out by the GDPR. Fred and Ellie are twins. But not identical (because that's impossible for a boy and a girl). They do like all the same things, though. Especially video games. Which they are very good at. They aren't that good, however, at much else - like, for example, football, or dealing with the school bullies. Then, they meet the Mystery Man, who sends them a video game controller, which doesn't look like any other controller they've ever seen. And it doesn't control any of their usual games. When the twins find out what it does control, though, it seems like the answer to all their problems. And the key to all their wildest dreams. At least it seems like that... Yet they felt identical. They sometimes even felt that they knew what one another were thinking. And, even if they were 200 metres apart, they could mouth words at each other and always know what the other one was saying. They did look pretty identical too. They both wore glasses and, most of the time, their school uniforms (even though uniform wasn’t compulsory at their school). And they both, at the point at which this story begins, had braces on their top teeth. Some organisations don’t have a separate legal personality of their own – for example, unincorporated associations such as sports clubs or voluntary groups. In this case you should review the document which sets up and governs the management of that organisation. This document should set out which individual(s) manage the organisation on behalf of its members and are likely to act as the controller or joint controllers, and how contracts may be entered into on behalf of the organisation. The printing company is only processing the personal data as per the gym’s instructions and is, therefore, the data processor, not the data controller. I always love stories about twins, it is just so interesting to see them interact, and I loved what the twins could do in this one. That is quite a nice skill, even though it may look silly to onlookers. :P

There is lots of fourth wall breaking, which I just love, of course when it is well done, which is the case in this book. There are also footnotes, but they didn't feel like too intrusive or a bother, if anything they fitted with book perfectly and even brought a smile on my face. If they are forced to take this action, they would no longer be acting according to their client’s instructions but according to their own professional obligations and therefore as a data controller in their own right. I’ve got to say, I wasn’t hugely impressed – it was reasonably well-written and the story line was okay, but it was just missing that little spark of magic.

In other words, the GDPR will class them as part of the controller and not as not a separate party who is contracted to process data on behalf of the data controller. Is Your Company A Data Processor?

Whether it’s scoring the winning goal in the biggest football match of the season or standing up to the mean school bullies, we’re all capable of more than we think. If specialist service providers are processing data in line with their own professional obligations, they will always be acting as the controller. In this context, they cannot agree to hand over or share controller obligations with the client. An individual person– Such as a partner in an unincorporated partnership, a sole trader, or any self-employed professional.

They must demonstrate fairness, lawfulness and transparency, accuracy, data minimization, integrity and storage, and full confidentiality of personal data. I love this book because it really made me laugh! The best book I've read since I was born! Tom, 11, LoveReading4Kids
