Annual Dinner Report
The DPCC Awards Dinner took place on the 30th January, with guest speaker Andy Wilkinson providing details on his cycling career including his record breaking End-to-End ride. For those who don't know Andy Wilkinson is a multiple TT national champion. He is current comp record holder for 12 hrs with a distance of 302.46 miles and 24 hrs with 525 miles. Following a very successful DPCC dinner and prize presentation, guest of honour Andy Wilkinson joined some 20 members for the club run to Bampton the following day. It was a cold day to start with, but warmed up into nice riding conditions and all managed to negotiate the icy roads safely. Andy stopped with the club at the cafe in Cote, near Bampton, before heading off to Evesham, to complete the first leg of his 2 day journey home. Henry Latimer has been in touch with Andy since and has reported that Andy enjoyed the ride and that he wishes everyone the best in the 2010 season.
