The design is good and the place to put your foot whilst fitting the baby in provides an added safety element. The metal bar system feels more stable, but it is quite bulky if you forget to stow it away, and a little fiddly to stow by yourself. This is also where the sunshade is kept and, as the shade doesn’t stow away particularly neatly, it would often get in the way of other items. You’ll find two sturdy grab handles at the top of the carrier, which are invaluable for helping you pull the carrier onto your shoulders once your baby or toddler is securely positioned in the seat. Both attach to the carrier frame using tent-like poles and provide adequate coverage no matter the weather.
