DPCC presents 'The Barbury Bash'
100 & 200 km audaxes starting on Sunday June 6th 2010, from Milton nr Abingdon.
Two scenic rides to the iron-age fort of Barbury Castle.
Enjoy views of Wiltshire and the Vale of the White Horse over tea-n-cake. Both routes then return to base via green lanes through the Berkshire Downs.
The 200 adds a diversion along the Roman Chute Causeway, a romp into the Chilterns, and a quick stop at a traditional Wessex rainforest.

New For 2010 - the 400km Oxon-to-Knighton - Sat 17th Jul 2010
There is a bit of a gap in the Audax calendar for 400k events in this area, so I thought I'd set one up! It's a lovely route (to Offa's Dyke and back), with an easy-to-navigate night leg. Note this is a "Shoestring" event, so all commercial controls and no manned village halls - you're left to your own devices.
2011 is Paris-Brest-Paris year, and they have changed the entry procedure to give preference to riders completing a 400 (or longer) in 2010. So if you've been thinking about Paris, this event will help you jump the queue, or could be a good first taste of the longer rides.
The route including the controls (more-or-less) can be seen here:
To enter, please use the regular AUK forms. Enquiries: Matt Chambers
