About this deal

also included on this blu-ray Disc is 30mins of behind the scenes footage taken during the filming on the set The Night She Came Home!! (HD, 60 min) — A pretty interesting documentary from November 2012 showcasing Jamie Lee Curtis's efforts to generate money for charity. Michael Lives (HD, 271 minutes) — An insanely in-depth look at the production and making of the movie.

However, while there is no rating high enough to accurately reflect my love for this set, I have to remember that my opinion is biased due to my long love affair with the series, and I have to remain impartial in this review. Hence, my honest opinion is that this wonderful treat for the fans merits 4 stars out of 5.Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II appear to be the same as the previous Blu-ray releases from Dimension, including the mammoth, 4½ hour (?!?!) documentary on the making of the first one, Michael Lives. Acting Scared(HD, 19 min) — Cast members Mariah O'Brien and J.C. Brandy talk heavily about characters, the look, working with others and the overall production. Scenes with John Ottman's Original Score(HD) — A collection of six scenes presented in DTS-HD Master Audio stereo. The Making of Halloween 4(HD, 48 min) — A brand-new retrospective by Scream Factory with recent cast & crew interviews.

That sums it up. There are far too many special features for each movie to list and I haven't watched them all yet. There are a bunch of "making of" features for Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III, Curse, the Zombie films, and others. This box set comes with an exclusive disc (in the case for Zombie's Halloween II, I guess to make it better) that contains all sorts of special features that I haven't even scratched the surface of. Audio Commentaries— First is with Danielle Harris (Jamie) and Jeffrey Landham (Billy) chatting with director Dominique Othenin-Girard while the second has author Justin Beahm interviewing actor Don Shanks, who played Michael Myers.

The Making of Halloween 5(HD, 44 min) — Another retrospect from Scream Factory with new interviews.Audio Commentary— Writer Daniel Farrands talks extensively with composer Alan Howarth about the film's troubled history, production, controversies, differences between the two and its cult status. Halloween 4 - I've always liked this one. It's not perfect but it's not terrible either. The return of Michael Myers is nice and Danielle Harris does a fine job acting, even for a kid. It has a nice atmosphere that just feels like Halloween particularly with the opening scene. There are some pacing issues and the overall plot is pretty much the same as the first two movies (characters trapped in a place, Michael Myers tries to kill them). The ending is great though and comes out of nowhere. 4/5 Tribute to Donald Pleasance(HD, 3 min) — Cast & crew talk fondly of the actor, sharing memories and praises. Halloween 4,5 and 6 and a longer version of the 25th anniversary HALLOWEEN episode, only couple mins longer Horror's Hallowed Grounds— Broken into five separate pieces with Sean Clark hosting a tour of shooting locations, starting with a look at parts four (HD, 26 min) and five (HD, 24 min). They are followed by a tour for Curse(HD, 23 min), an amusing "Pilot Episode" for Carpenter's original (SD, 20 min) and finally, a bus tour dubbed "Fan Edition" (HD, 11 min).

The Shape of Things(HD, 12 min) — A closer look and discussion on F/X, the iconic mask and the actor behind the mask with special-effects supervisor John Carl Buechler and make-up artist Brad Hardin. Audio Commentary— Conversation between director/writer John Carpenter, producer/writer Debra Hill and Jamie Lee Curtis from the 1995 Criterion laserdisc release.Rob Zombie's Halloween II (Director's Cut) - Like the previous Halloween film from Zombie, this one is available only as the Director's Cut on Blu-ray. That's OK this time around as it's better than the theatrical release. The cinematography has improved in this movie as there are some really great images. That's about all the praise this film deserves though. It's a mess of a plot, all of the characters have turned into white trash, Michael doesn't wear his mask the majority of this movie (I guess I'm OK with that), the pacing is extremely slow, and the movie is way too long. The imagery is great, really. It's worth watching just to see the scenes that take place inside of Myers's mind. That being said, it's easily one of the worst Halloween movies ever. Still better than Resurrection (any movie without Busta Ryhmes is better) but not by much. 2/5 Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers: Extended Producer's Cut(HD, 95 min) — Presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio with two DTS-HD Master Audio options, the fabled and much-talked-about version that a majority of fans agree to be superior to the theatrical cut. so if your a big of Halloween like myself than get's this 15 Disc deluxe edition which has the Bonus Disc The Making of Halloween 4: Final Cut(SD, 17 min) — Vintage EPK with several cast & crew interviews.
