The female lead has no real depth, has a tattoo of “addict” on her side to remind herself she is one, then spends the entire book saying she wished people would see her as more than an addict. Overall, if you’re just reading it for the enemies to lovers vibe and the spice and don’t mind that there is really no plot, the writing isn’t great and there is no context or depth to the characters, then this is your book. I also thought it was crazy that Izzy has 4 older brothers and an identical twin sister who all have names that start with D.
Another reason I gave 3 rather than 4 stars is the ridiculous amount of roles on government and important organisations Cade is supposed to have. If you live in an apartment complex, please check with the front office to see if it was received by them. in the previous books he is portrayed as a hacker who looks after security for his family and suddenly he's head of data security for government and pentagon etc etc! Cade's a total babe - we don't know much about his backstory, but honestly, who cares since he's super swoon-worthy?

Corrupted Chaos is a light mafia standalone romance with forced proximity, steam, and a tech mogul that will fight and grovel for a HEA with his spitfire woman. The breath play/choking is not really something I enjoy reading about but if it is going to happen it should at least be discussed beforehand so it is safe and consensual. Imagine seeing a movie about a young man and then casting a 60 year old actor to play a role for a 25 year old character.
