I just got this in the mail today, so this is a first impression. I've not smelled any of the scents this is supposed to dupe, but I've smelled a few rose/ouds in my short time as a perfume FREAK! And what I can tell you is this: Great stuff. This is pretty much the classic Middle Eastern oud fragrance of the type that is very popular these days-- a balance of floral, oud, smoke, and spice. It's still oud but not barnyard or overly animalic, oud that announces "I am oud" but not at the top of it's lungs, a very well balanced note. It is sweet, semi-floral (saffron definitely) and a bit spicy from the cinnamon. One of the best inexpensive oud compositions I have come across. Editing to add: My nose just supplied me an interesting bit of information-- I am pretty sure there's hedione in this. No wonder it's so intoxicating! Anyone else agree?

The base notes of Patchouli and Musk provide a solid foundation for the fragrance, enhancing its longevity and adding a touch of sensuality. The earthy, woody nuances of Patchouli complement the oud beautifully, while Musk adds a subtle, inviting sweetness. In conclusion- a dense,very sweet,very smoky, middle eastern frag remincent of Instant crush. Great longevity and projection. Appropriate for cold weather- the colder the better. Leans masculine. Casual and dates.Personally will not buy it for myself, as I am not a fan of sweet frags. Can be offensive, as it's unusual for european markets. Great value for money. Well worth the money though. This to me is a patchouli, saffron, rose, oud and SANDALwood fragrance. I'm thinking the intersection of this supposed saffron-patchouli-sandalwood is giving the illusion of some cinnamon as well. I think 2 sprays is more than enough for this one...wow. I was NOT expecting this kind of power, projection or persistence. Due to the note’s intensity, the best oud colognes are on the long-lasting side of the scale. Yet, the time an oud cologne lasts depends heavily on the wearer’s skin chemistry. In general, though, oud lingers on the skin long after most other notes.These are different, but there are similarities with sweet oud. SO doesn't have the sandalwood-patchouli drydown, and is an oud-rose & praline blend along the lines of Oud Bouquet Lancome. Both have amazing performance. The spray that I do on my wrists before work really lasts me the entire shift and I can’t keep sniffing my wrist it really smells nice and that’s coming from someone who never thought would be wearing Oud. I personally do not like to wear it because it is too special for me but for the fragrance still a 8.5, it does not mean that he is bad just because you would not wear it yourself.

I think the main difference is the longevity and strength. Others mentioned that this lasts long on the skin, but I noticed that this faded after 4 hours. To be honest that’s a non-issue for this price point. I usually like to reapply my fragrances after a few hours anyway. I he is also a bit too feminine which does not mean that men can not wear it but tendency for me rather into the feminine. EDIT: after wearing it a few times, the scent is still very prominent after 3 hours. I could also smell it on my clothes the weekend after. I'd say 5/6 hours moderate strong projection on skin.Edit: lord my colleagues/friends told me this was way too seductive to wear in the office so that should tell you something! But I'm wearing it anyway. Projection Time: 10 (10+ hours), 9 (8-10 hours), 8 (6-8 hours), 7 (5-6 hours), 6 (4-5 hours), 5 (2-4 hours) For days I wondered what perfume it smelled like... It's so familiar I was sure I wore it before, loooong time ago... It starts to soften and you’re left with Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition ! To my nose. I have been wearing SAS for many years, so I’m well aware of the scent. However, where SAS Is more vanilla, this is more saffron and patchouli.
