I thought Leo would come across as this player or at least as a sarcastic dude, but Steiner really showed his inner soft side and how he could really be a good friend.

It was actually a bit weird for me when she was just wandering around the house full of boys in an oversized shirt and boy shorts without a bra! she packs the angst, the pining, the steam, the spice, the banter, and romance all in one fun little bundle. She survived years of high school bullying and yet really came to find true female friends to confide in.I swallowed, running my knuckles down the smooth skin of her back on a groan I hoped she didn’t hear. He was gentle and caring, and despite his dual facade in the media and with his friends, he was raised well by his mama and was NOT a play boy. I couldn’t even remember who I was back then, but I knew that the realest I’d ever been with anyone was that summer. But then the tragedy that followed just broke my heart and I could understand why Mary wanted nothing to do with Leo in the present. It was so nice to see a male character who was actually in tune with his feelings and had no problem communicating them at all!

This is the last book in the red zone rivals series, and I don’t know how Kandi does it but each book in this series gets better and better. An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. It was like taking his first calm breath in years because he finally found a piece of himself he lost when Mary blocked him.When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). He made her believe that she doesn't have to feel insecure or doubt anything, and he would never leave her again. Yet another romance fail where sex is degraded and cheapened by MCs who have zero morals or integrity.

I loved the relationship between Mary and Leo and how they had so much history that really hurt Mary and affected how she felt about Leo today. Mary is at first reluctant to take him up on his offer because they have a history that Leo does not remember – a past that broke Mary’s heart and has caused her to hate him ever since.So, out of impulse, Leo beat the crap out of him, jeopardizing not only his own career but also Mary's. Mary smiled, eyes closed as she ran her fingernails over the cat’s neck while it kneaded the covers before curling in next to her.

Separation: Yes They are separated shortly, but there was no mention or suggestion of other partners during this time. Because when a water and mold disaster leaves me with no choice but to vacate my house, I have nowhere to go.The only flaw imo is that both Mary and Leo could’ve handled things a lot more maturely than they originally did but other than that I loved this book and its story! the only thing keeping this from being a 5 star for me was that i wanted a few more 1:1 moments between hero and heroine. Nothing trumps football at North Boston University, especially not for the star players on the team. Also on a side note, I wasn’t convinced on Leo’s lack of memory and I personally wouldn’t have given the guy a second chance… but I’m generally a second chance hater so that’s probably on me —- andddd I really wasn’t a fan of the boss’s side story… I thought Mary was being really stupid about all that especially when her gut kept telling her the truth.
