The Lion house was a lovely place to stay and has everything you should need, but to be honest the places to eat nearby were excellent so if you want a totally relaxing holiday with nice walks on the moor and also close enough to travel to the coast.this is the place to stay. The other downside of this book is in the choice of a narrative way of telling - sometimes a couple of sentences are blatantly untrue, refuted immediately, while it also leads you down dead ends on occasion. The ending is very abrupt, with not even an epilogue to talk about the fate of those still left alive by that point. So a bit disappointing, as it didn't really deliver on what was promised and I'll need to get some actual information somewhere else.

Very spacious & lovely stylish comfortable decor was great to hear of the history of Lion House.Unfortunately the two en suites showers water was boiling with no way of turning them down or able to shower in them comfortably and the first bedrooms en suite smelt quite foul. Due to which meant we all to share to main bathroom shower which had we been pushed for time in the morning would have been inconvenient which means will drops a star on my rating otherwise lovely & very comfortable and we all had a great stay and were very impressed otherwise. The additional sky tv,games room & sound system was an added bonus.unfortunately due to the rain we couldn't use the spacious terrace area.
