I have Aventus as well as the Parfum version of CDNIM and the EDT and I've received more compliments with the CDNIM EDT than anything else I own. I find it hard to believe that there are so few mentions of what I consider to be one of the most dominant notes in this fragrance which is birch wood. Pepper plays its part for a fresh spicy smell to emerge alonside discreet floral notes, and then the deeper base notes bring a very masculine conclusion.I have the EDT and wear occasionally on days I just want to smell fresh enough for the office but the LE is a different beast. So for those who like that side of the EDT (and you don't have issues with it's synthetic nature), just stick with the EDT. I certainly smell the "lemon cleaning product" thing everyone talks about but it's not even worth thinking about when considering this fragrance since it goes away pretty quickly.
