Insurrection II Wild for Men 3.0oz EDT by Reyane

As soon as I put it on it immediately reminded me of Burberry London (which I reach for a lot every December). Once the scent starts to dry down the cherry eases up and I smell more tobacco, vanilla, and cacao and some spiciness. Keep in mind the other Insurrection offerings don't come close in regards to performance; this one stands alone. It's more like Burberry London for Men but less sharp, softer, sweeter, cosier, to me it comes across more refined, smoother, gentler.

Top notes are a bright sweetness - some get cherry - I mostly get honey - let's just say a sweet pipe tobacco that goes into a heart of spicy sweet tobacco, and eventually becomes a sweet/spicy skin scent enveloped in a rich tonka vanilla veil. I'm not into clones and this would be the first because I love Pure Havane and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative I can use at home to enjoy. The Morello is a variety of sour cherries that is so dark-skinned, it is almost a mahogany red, with dark red flesh and dark juice inside.I believe it can be worn any season and appropriate for most situations, other than special occasions or a first date. I had also once tested the Pure Havane, this is in terms of H+S still a step higher to settle than the Insurrection II Wild. Spoiler alert: Insurrection II Wild is totally awesome, addictive, intoxicating and easily as good as reformulated Pure Havane, possibly as good as the original formula, but with a few differences. As an avid fragrance user and a long time fan of the Thierry Mugler 'Pure' range for men, and having written extensive reference pieces on the history of those fragrances online, I came to this fragrance after seeing numerous reviews and online videos. About 15-20 minutes later I was getting whiffs of something I wasn’t sure of (I just received 3 perfumes in the mail, I was confused as to which one I was smelling) and I smelled the spot of my arm which I sprayed this and omg.

I strongly recommend giving this fragrance a shot if you have nothing else like it in your wardrobe.But longest maceration period I've ever had for a scent that's just alright - not for typical tobacco lovers, the honey is dominant and synthetic. I saw the current notes pop up on fragrantica and they are nothing like what was listed on Reyanne a few years back. Warning ⚠️ for people who want to test this never test it on a strip or paper, this is a skin test fragrance. It doesn't require that many sprays to be effective, which is a relief with so many weak colognes out there. Try as I might the cheap way the fragrance comes across distracts from the attractive notes that make it up.
