About this deal

Lionsgate has made sure fans will want to upgrade for this release by giving it a gorgeous native 4K transfer with Dolby Vision HDR and a terrific new Dolby Atmos audio mix.

The new UHD's menu makes it look like they've dropped all previous audio options and gives us just a single, new 7. They completely left off all of the From Book To Screen documentary, except for the VH1 80s chapter; the final half hour. It also has a video of the film premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, but it's very brief with no real substance. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. the "clean" visual style, and detail is also fairly strong, since the film is generally quite brightly lit. and the new Dolby Atmos track included on this 4K UHD release offers wonderful spaciousness for just about all the music utilized. I don't believe there are any new special features for this release, apart from the menu screen, and you can tell that they were put together around the year 2000 but i found them interesting anyway. Deleted Scenes - The deleted scenes are presented along with short, on set interviews with cast members and have an optional commentary track with Mary Harron.

Everything from dialogue and sound effects to the film's great use of classic 80s tunes to the great score John Cale enjoy a serious and noteworthy uptick in quality. In 1987, twentysomething Wall Street broker Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) seems to have it all: he is handsome, successful and engaged to the beautiful Evelyn (Reese Witherspoon). WONKA — The Magical Adventure of a Young Chocolate Maker Comes Home on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on February 27th!The only thing it doesn't have are those extra little interviews and stuff (including the trailer) from the old French disc; so maybe hang onto that if you have it. For more about American Psycho and the American Psycho Blu-ray release, see American Psycho Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on August 6, 2008 where this Blu-ray release scored 3. First released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment in 2000 in separate Unrated and R-rated versions, it was later snapped up by Lionsgate, who reissued the film in a more feature-packed special edition in 2005, also available in separate uncut and still-safe-for-theaters configurations.

I'm including the screenshots from both discs just fro the sake of being absolutely thorough, but don't get it twisted. Look on the blu where the lines of Bale's face get jagged and pixelated, and how smooth and clear they are now. In addition to the old bonus features, Lionsgate has seen fit to offer up fans a couple of new extras including a brand new audio commentary track with Mary Harron and they brought over a longer Book to Screen mini-doc that had only previously been available on DVD.

For the week that ended on October 9th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's F9: The Fast Saga topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the third week in a row, while Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Black Widow held onto second place . When they're done running up huge tabs at the trendiest restaurants, they're doing lines at the hippest nightclubs in New York. I mean they are engaged and directional from the score and soundtrack bleeding through and the hustle and bustle of crowds and people and whatnot.

Also, the Dolby Vision release also features Dolby Atmos audio, which puts you in the action with bigger, more encompassing sound that fills your room – even overhead – to immerse you in your entertainment. He dines daily with his friends Bryce (Justin Theroux), McDermott (Josh Lucas), and Luis (Matt Ross). It's like that on the Killer DVD and the blu-ray, with black pillar-boxing bars appearing for just this one zoom-in shot early in the film.next thing I noticed about this 4K UHD version is the clear uptick in detail levels from the 1080p Blu-ray. However, one of the most striking depth of field moments has to be where the guys are measuring business cards and even the bone white card with Cillian Brail print jumps off the screen. The Atmos height channels are mostly noticed during the moments when Patrick puts on his headphones and the soundtrack we are listening to is in our head. American Psycho's 4K release is no exception, with all of the old extras making the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc itself - including Commentaries, Deleted Scenes with optional Commentary, and two Featurettes on the 80s New York scene and the adapting the book - but also a further, new Commentary from the Director to boot.
