About this deal

There’s a reason why almost 80% of mice use Omron switches. But Omron switches come in two types: Chinese and Japanese, and both are vastly different. Their answer was in-house custom-built optical mouse switches which were used exclusively in Razer mice. The first Razer mouse to use these switches was the Viper.

Most of the top gaming peripheral brands have top-notch offerings for gamers, so it's not so much the brand that's important as it is the gaming mouse itself. That said, Logitech, Razer, and SteelSeries are crowd-favorites. Zowie, BenQ's peripheral line, seems to have impressed gamers as well. Do gaming mice make a difference? You probably know Kailh for their popular mechanical keyboard switches, but Kaihua, the company that makes these switches, also dabbles in some popular and well-received mouse switches. To change the speed at which the mouse pointer moves, under Motion, move the Select a pointer speed slider toward Slow or Fast. One of the best things about gaming mice is that they don’t have to have an enormous price tag attached. It’s true that some gaming mice can be expensive, especially if you want one with brand recognition, but you don’t have to drop a lot of money to get the best gaming mouse and start improving your PC gaming experience. Navigate to the Pointer Options tab in the Mouse Properties window. You can increase the mouse pointer speed in the Motion area by dragging the slider to the right or left. Left reduces the speed and right increases it.If everything went well in the last step, the faulty micro-switch should slide right off with a few (extremely light) twists using tweezers or needle-nose pliers. A bulging convex fillet on the joint is either a sign of excessive solder or a cold joint. Desolder the joint and solder it again until you have it right. If your soldering iron’s tip has oxidised badly, you may have to repeat this procedure several times until it is tinned bright and shiny. However, this step is indispensable because a well-tinned tip is absolutely essential to achieve good thermal transfer. If you have fancy helping hands or other means to mount PCBs, that’s well and good. However, there’s no shame in keeping the PCB flat on the workbench either. We aren’t exactly using power tools here. Thankfully, some mice are now coming out with hot-swappable mouse switch capability. What Makes a Good Mouse Switch?

Below the Vertical Scrolling settings is that for Horizontal Scrolling. It’s set to 3 characters by default, but you can change it to any number you want. The mouse in which you use a switch also affects the feel of the switch. A GM4.0 in a Zowie mouse feels too stiff due to the unibody plastic body that extends to the mouse buttons. In a Logitech G703, however, the same switch feels really good and tactile. So it’s always a good idea to research whether a certain switch will go well with your specific mouse. Response Time These are quite comparable to the Kailh GM2.0, mainly due to their stiffness. TTC Gold V2 Dustproof While we wish there was a little more to the Roccat Kone XP’S RGB lighting, we know that you can’t have it all, even in the best gaming mouse. But, considering everything else this mouse does, its simple RGB, not to mention its love-it-or-hate-it aesthetic, is a minor quibble because that’s where any negatives end. Japanese Omrons like the D2F-01F are highly popular for their light actuation force and low input delay. This makes them good for spamming and for people with weaker fingers or arthritis. But this also means that they aren’t the most tactile switch out there.

With enough clearance between the PCB and the bottom chassis, you can now slide the mouse wheel away from the hub, which is otherwise known as the encoder. This problem exists in cheaper soldering irons where the heating element is further away from the tip. In that case the tip temperature can be significantly lower than temperature at which the heating element is set. You can compensate for this inherent inefficiency by raising the preset temperature until the tip gets hot enough. It would be advisable to use a soldering tip thermometer to verify the tip temperature. The TTC Silver is very tactile, but not too hard to press with an actuation force of around 52g. They aren’t too loud like the Huano Blue Shell switches and can be pleasant to use. In the Mouse Properties window, switch to the Buttons tab and continue reading to learn how to go about the mouse button modifications listed above. 1] Switch the functionalities of the left and right mouse buttons

Read: How to reverse Mouse and Touchpads scrolling direction. 2] Adjust the number of characters per horizontal scroll

You still do not have a Custom Cursor?

Meanwhile, a high polling rate means you’re getting faster response times. The polling rate is measured in hertz, and it usually ranges from around 125 to 1,000Hz. The latter means that your mouse’s position is reported to your computer 1,000 times per second. These switches have a very distinct color and look oddly similar to Noctua fans. Regardless, these are hands-down the best silent switches out there.
