About this deal

Turkish Delight or Lokum as it’s known in Turkey is a delicately flavored jelly candy, perfect for serving any time of year. He was summoned to the Topkapi Palace to pioneer the development of what is today one of Turkey’s hallmark confections. These have the traditional rose and lemon flavours combined into each piece with a clear difference in colour indicating which half is which. Due to the simplicity of the ingredients, authentic Turkish delight is also gluten free and suitable for vegans.

Throughout Turkey, these delicate candies are shared to close a meal with coffee, placed on dessert trays for holidays, weddings and other special occasions. If you use golden caster or brown sugar it will make it too dark, so you won’t get that delicate pink colour.Bring to a boil (you want the liquid to reach 250°F with a candy thermometer), then simmer over a medium heat for 20 minutes, whisking often.

Sugar, Maize Starch, Water, Icing Sugar, Natural Flavour (Rose and Lemon), Colouring(E129, E124), Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid.
