I'm only telling you about the Milwaukee and other Bosch unit because I owned and still own the Milwaukee. The second time I had to use Electric cleaning spray, found at your Pepboys, near the brake cleaner sprays.

If you are into woodworking, would also recommend the Bosch 1594 3-1/4-inch planer, another well designed tool that performs better than expected, only way to describe is that it literally glides over the wood surface and no sanding is needed afterwards, who could ask for more? The fine-depth adjustment on the fixed base is excellent and easy to use, offering very precise adjustments.If you have a bad back and a enclosed router table and use your router daily, a lift may be worth the money to you. It has softer start than the Bosch and a light which the Bosch doesn't have, newer models of the Bosch may have better soft start and a light. This fixture makes that very straight forward, and very repeatable when doing multiple routes of the same dimension (second image, routing cut outs in progress for the inner front panel of an LF module for a high end speaker system. This Bosch tool is very well built, has excellent torque and speed control, and with the additional fixed base can handle a variety of jobs. I also purchased the dust collector for my Bosch 1617, but haven’t tried it yet , so cant critique its dust collecting capability yet .

This router is something that I may keep till I get really old and pass off to my kids, and will still be a great tool then. I took a Dremel and ground gently two small areas on my router base and then fitted it to the Festool base. Where some might find it lacking is having a comprehensive dust collection feature built in with a clear dust dust shield over the working area, like some DeWalt and Porter Cable 1/2" shank routers I own.The things so quiet compared to other routers that I get concerned it’s not getting very high rpm’s .

I would never have thought a router table purchase would be so complicated and expensive ( and time consuming). Again if you can not lower the motor enough you unlatch the motor press in on the stop lever and lower the motor to the last or lower stop and adjust the know as needed, lock the motor and you ready to go. My favorite weight is rolls of pennies since it's relatively cheap and if they don't work I can spend them or deposit them. I have the 1617EVSPK, the hang up before I spend money on a table top is whether the 1617EVSPK has a built in lift or not. Another great feature include variable speed, soft-start, and constant response circuitry that maintains speed under load.
