Was looking at the following things: (only looking for a pre styler, will use it in pretty damp hair after shower and then blowdry obviously) EDIT: I am also fairly clueless about which products should be used with and when to use a blow dryer. For the average guy (rating 7.2/10), this product is reasonably priced and delivers great performance and value for the price.

Currently trying the Templeton Tonics Oasis Clay, which I also have to get used to first cause its so creamy, that its actually a lotion imo and easily gets all over the jar.From my experience, this product does have some humidity and water resistance. So it does take shampoo to wash it out completely. FINISHED LOOK 10/10 Application is pretty easy since it’s in liquid form. The sprayer on the bottle could be better, but you get used to it and you need to use your hands to spread it. I usually use small sprays all over to make it easier to spread evenly throughout your hair. Scent

It smells a bit like a moisturizer. However it’s pretty light and non-offensive to the senses, and once it’s in the hair, I didn’t find it noticeable at all. DURABILITY 6.1/10 For thin/fine hair this helps to coat the hair, boosting the appearance of the finished style, by giving a fuller and shaped look with added control and structure. I usually use it with another pre styler and post styler, and get great results. It helps me to feel a lot more confident about my fine hair and achieve durable long lasting styles. Would I buy it again If price isn’t an obstacle and your opinion of value is just the product’s quality (your expected value is 6.8/10), this is a nice product, it has ok ingredients and might be nice to have on the shelf, but if you’re willing to pay more, you could probably get an alternative product that is better for your hair. Use it in damp hair (applying to the roots) before blow drying to the desired style. It can be used in conjunction with other prestylers or on it’s own. For me it usually only takes 3-5 sprays (depending on hair length) for an optimal finish, too much can tend to make your hair a bit too dry or straw like. Where to buy it From my experience the tonic’s hold is long lasting but quite light, I usually use it with post styler (e.g. a wax, paste or clay) to get the desired style. Since the hold is so light, as a solo product, I would say it is better suited to low volume flowy or messy styles. Experiment with a few styles until you decide on the one that suits you the most, and thanks to the long-lasting quality of the tonic, your hair will look on point all day. As a pre-styler, the product isn’t really designed to help your hairstyle withstand all conditions. However, the effects are quite long-lasting, and it does help to improve the durability of hairstyles which also use a decent finishing product. The amount you need to apply may vary slightly depending on your hair type, but over applying might make your hair a bit stiff and less natural looking. Where to buy itThis is one of the most natural finishing products I’ve ever used. It boosts styles and doesn’t make the hair greasy. WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN From my experience with this product, it is very lightweight, however, the structure and light texture it adds, does maintain shape and volume for casual styles. Since they are from the same company and achieve a similar purpose, the ingredient in both products have pretty similar quality. PRICE AND AFFORDABILITY
