It was the first item I decided on and when I saw it sitting there in the corner of the room in its box for christmas I was ecstatic that I knew my PC build was going ahead. No dust filter is included at the front of the case, and while the mesh will keep some dust out, do plan on frequent cleaning with this case, especially if you keep it running for many hours of the day. Due to all the human malware, trade wars, and miscellaneous other issues, this will be my first review since April, and frankly it was a very interesting process on the Lian Li LANCOOL 215 mid-tower.

LANCOOL 215 features two pre-installed 200MM ARGB fans and a 120MM fan, combining with mesh panels, honeycomb vents enable efficient ventilation. It is lightly tinted, but does not appear to have a greenish tint like you will find on the panels of most budget cases (if you can find one with tempered glass at all).With two 200MM fans mounted outside of the frame, you still have enough room to front mount a 360 AIO radiator to benefit from the ultimate cooling scenario. What's more, with two included aRGB 200mm fans and one rear 120mm fan, this gaming PC chassis will look good whilst remaining cool. That’s not a problem here, both because the bottom of the panel is fairly well sealed and because the 200mm intake fans are mounted out on the front of the chassis, close to the mesh.

The top of the case is 6cm above the top edge of the motherboard, which is the effective limit for combined radiator and fan thickness--Lian Li’s spec sheet claims a conservative 55mm. The front panel in our sample is one of those old-school designs that’s extremely difficult remove, but Lian Li has assured us that the production version will be revised to address this, which we’re happy to hear. The two biggest problems are the fact that the cables come from several locations along the front and top edges of the chassis, and the location of the fan/rgb controller that is included (more on that later). This is still a relatively new test, so we don’t have cases as old as Cooler Master’s H500 Mesh included on this chart--we’d expect it to do very well here. degrees Celsius above ambient, a slightly more favorable average compared to the rest of the chart than was seen in the torture and firestrike tests.The AIO Cooler showed up very quickly and exactly as described, brand new, still sealed in it's fancy box!

Average GPU temperature in this test was 54 degrees Celsius, warmer than the baseline average of 52 degrees. The front of the chassis can also house radiators, and the PSU shroud cutout is big enough to accommodate both a radiator with its fans here, meaning you can keep the two huge intake fans installed. Supporting motherboards up to E-ATX and graphics cards up to 370mm in length, the LANCOOL 215 provides ample room for your gaming aspirations. At this point I could already tell that trying to make the cable routing look tidy was going to be an adventure. However, when they turned their hands to simpler materials like steel and glass, we quickly saw that while Lian Li was great at working with aluminium and big budgets, they were legendary at making modern PC gaming cases out of steel and glass. And while it appears to be a fan controller, it’s just a hub that delivers constant power to your fans – so if you can, plug the three fans into your motherboard for fine control.
