Whether you have enjoyed one of our events recently or have just been following our web site, I hope that you will consider joining the club and supporting us further. The club generally caters for ‘improving’ riders although there is a wide range of age and ability levels within the club. We also organise beginner and ladies only rides (please see the ladies rides section of the web site) with these riders often progressing to the main club runs.
There is a full program of club runs throughout the year with a ‘come and try it’ ride every month. New faces are always welcome although please email firstname.lastname@example.org just to let Ron Smith (our club run organiser) know that you are coming. We ask potential members attending club runs to join the club after five rides. Please refer to the notes on insurance below.
There is a wide range of interest groups within the club in both recreational and competitive fields. The club currently has over 100 members so there will always be riders who can inspire you to take on the next challenge in your chosen area of cycling.
Whether you are an experienced time trialist or a complete beginner, please consider joining in with our programme of time trials which run throughout the spring and summer months. All abilities and any type of bikes are welcome!
Membership runs for the Calendar year although if joining after 30th September (the end of the season), this will not expire until the end of the following year.
If you would like to join, please either download a form from the ‘join us’ section of our web site or join online at https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/club/profile?&club_id=1544
Please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com should you have any questions about joining the club or the club in general.
I hope to meet you on a ride soon!

We ask that all members who participate in group rides also join either the CTC or British Cycling*. Membership of these organisations provides 3rd party liability insurance cover. This provides cover if claims are made against you in the event of an accident. Claims could be made by other riders or road users in general. Membership of the Didcot Phoenix Cycling Club, does not in itself provide any insurance benefits. Potential new members will only be covered for their first five rides by the clubs insurance whilst they have a genuine interest in joining the club.
Affiliate membership of the CTC can be bought through the club for just £24. This does not have all the benefits of full CTC membership but provides the necessary insurance cover element. Affiliated CTC membership does not provide legal assistance whereas full CTC membership does.
First time members of British Cycling can benefit from an introductory discount through membership of the club. Please note that the BC ‘Bronze’ package does not include insurance cover so this would not be suitable for joining in with group rides.
