This Sunday is DPCC’s Freewheeling Championship

In case you are interested, and in case you hadn’t yet twigged, this Sunday’s Club ride we’ll be holding the DPCC annual freewheeling competition** – the first chance of the year to pick up a trophy (or the last chance before the awards evening, depending on how you look at it…).

Paul Demicoli – as defending champion – has picked the S. Stoke Road drop out of Woodcote as this year’s hill (starting from close to its junction with Behoes Lane, where the gradient is sufficient to maintain forward motion). We’ll probably be getting there around 10.30am. After which we’ll ride to Preston Crowmarsh for coffee. (route)

** roll down a hill, individuals setting off a few seconds apart – no pedalling – whoever travels furthest before they put a foot down (or fall over sideways because they’ve clipped in and forgotten to unclip) bags the silverware.

Hope to see as many of you there as possible.
