About this deal

Apart from that, several resorts are more focused on serious skiing. As such, you can find a restaurant where you can have your dinner in a peaceful environment. Also, you have to get up early the next day and hit the slopes. What should you wear for Après-Ski? A playground of mountaineering, Chamonix is a near-mythical destination for serious skiers with serious drinking appetites to match. Dancing outside in the snow or on benches to recorded or live music is common. Moreover, everything is done in ski clothing. While many argue that Après-Ski continues throughout dinner, others argue that it might last until bedtime. For the best après ski moments, The Krazy Kangaruh is bonkers and not for those wanting a chilled après scene! Directly across the piste from the KK the Mooserwirt starts the party with ‘The Final Countdown’ at 3pm and then cranks out loud and cheesy Austro/German pop and gets the crowd into a table dancing frenzy. Just seeing the beer servers who carry up to 30 full size drinks on doubled up trays is worth the trip. Those guys are seriously strong. Also highly recommend the Heustadl for live music on the slopes. It’s in a perfect suntrap just before you get to the KK on the left. View ski holidays in St Anton > For a long time Val Thorens has been considered the poor cousin of its neighbours in upmarket Méribel and super expensive Courchevel but recent years have seen a transformation into a more mid-range resort. There are still the cheap and tiny apartments available but now there are luxury hotels, top quality chalets, upmarket self-catered apartments and Club Med Val Thorens Sensations, right in the centre of town. It’s a great resort for early or late snow due to its height.

Retro ski suit – If you are thinking about making an impact, nothing can be compared to a retro suit from the 80s. These suits are groovy, waterproof, and provide you with the necessary warmth. So, get your hands on a funky piece and go with a classic style that will make you stand out in the crowd. Val d’Isère, France

Ischgl isn’t cheap compared to other Austrian resorts but it is still better value than some the big resorts of France and Switzerland. The Trofana Alm stakes a claim for the best après ski bar in the world. It encompasses everything you’d expect from that title- classic Tyrolean décor, cheesy German/Austrian songs and with silly dances that get everyone involved. You can also experience fantastic service from immensely strong waiters carrying trays of beers and shots. The Schatzi Bar offers the added bonus of traditional bar top dancing girls and more modern music. Lastly, the Kuhstall plays more English music and fills to the brim with the younger crowd, jumping in their boots to the latest hits. View ski holidays in Ischgl > Because Après-Ski means after skiing, it starts at the moment when you are done with skiing for that day. And, for most riders and skiers, it means at some point in the late afternoon. Besides, some people take the rest of the day off and start partying in restaurants and lodges as early as midnight. But this is far from true. Some of the ski resorts tend to have a lot of action late at night. When you visit such places, you can find late-night parties both at bars and restaurants. And, they can last until 3 in the morning. Spare shoes – Being a skier, you should think about having some comfortable footwear. At the end of a tiring session, nothing appears more soothing than sliding off the ski boots. That’s the reason why having a pair of shoes helps to keep your feet warm and relieve you from pains or aches that you have encountered while you are on snow. A nice pair of boots can make your dance moves fine as well. Of course you can wear the ski boots, but for comfort we recomend changing shoes if you are planning to be at the after ski a long time. You will probably spend enough time in your ski boots when skiing during the days.

Headband – Adding a headband to your outfit is the final touch you can give to your Après-Ski party. Headbands keep away the sweat off your brows and hair. Ski chalets and grand hotels, fondue and mulled wine, cobblestone streets and haute cuisine—Europe’s Alpine ski towns are generally known for their white-gloved elegance. But within a large swath of the Alps (from Austria to France), the après-ski scene also has a wild side that makes Hot Tub Time Machine look tame. Think cabarets, underground clubs, and late-night Euro-pop dance parties. Down in town there are more bars than you can visit in a night and the après starts early. The Frog and Roast Beef is the highest pub in Europe and draws a UK crowd. The dutch bar, Cafe Sneskois the rowdiest and most fun bar on the strip if you can take the crowds. They set the ceiling and bar on fire later in the evening but the best time to go is from 6 to 8pm where the bar staff all get involved with singing along to classics like Robbie William's angels and Hey Jude by the Beatles whilst playing drinking games which is great entertainment! VT is also home to the largest nightclub in the Alps in Malaysia. It looks like a hut on the slope as it's all underground. View ski holidays to Val Thorens >Skiers often enjoy cheap American craft beer and signature Bloody Marys. Longhorn Saloon in Whistler is one of the town’s most popular après ski spots. Image: @longhornsaloon St Anton (Austria) – The resort to popularise table dancing; famous for steins of beer, Jägermeister and oompah parties till the early morning. Craft beer: You’ll see hearty IPAs and porters from Washington State to Vermont. Notable brews include the Alchemist’s Heady Topper Double IPA out of Vermont and the Bavarian-style Skiesta Lager from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company It might surprise you but there isn’t any right or wrong way to experience Après-Ski. While some people might enjoy tasting the local alcohol and dancing to the rhythm, others might warm up with mulled wine and surround by a fire. When does it start?

Colored sun cream – Do you intend to protect your skin while retaining a funky style? If so, grab a fluorescent sun cream and paint something different on your face. That way, it protects your soft skin and adds cool vibes at the same time. Après ski is the most common question we get about resorts and I agree that it is an essential part of my ski experience. I may not want to party every afternoon, but when I do, I want very good music, cold beers, cheap shooters and the option of a sunny terrace. If it’s inclement weather then an indoor area with strong tables for dancing on with ski-boots and lots of alpine memorabilia and style will do. Mulled wine (France, Austria, Switzerland): a spiced wine usually made with red wine and served warm (known as vin chaud in France and Glühwein in Austria) St Anton is renowned as the best in Austria but it is perhaps too popular and the famous piste-side bars are uncomfortably jammed to overflowing with plastered Brits, Dutch and Germans. It has fantastic off-piste routes like the Valluga and brings a lot of the best skiers in the world to party at the noisiest après ski bars in Austria.Whether it is mulled wine, a whiskey, or even a chocolate hot drink, make every effort to ensure that you have the best drink. If you have skied in different regions of the world, you should know that every place serves something different to warm your body on a cold, boring afternoon. There’s loads of bars in Alpe d'Huez to try, but no pub crawl would be complete without visiting O’Sharkeys, Smithy's, Sphere Bar, Etalon rum Bar and The Underground Bar. If you want to stay up until the sun rises then you’ll be at the Igloo Bar that gets crazier and crazier all the way until the 6am closing time. Each of our signs is designed and created by hand. If you have specific sign requirements or if there is a type of sign not listed here then please just ask. Sign design is what we love so we are more than happy to work on any personalized signs or custom sign requests just for you. Old World Ski Signs And Vintage Style Ski Lodge Signs add a subtle hint of style and nostalgia to your home decor.

As a lot of the après-ski bars are outdoors, it’s also a good idea to bring sunglasses and a hat – not only does it keep you warm but also covers up your helmet hair! The après-ski scene is not identical worldwide; where and what you do changes depending on which country and resort you are in. European Alps Veuve Clicquot: As a toast of sorts to European après-ski, you can find slopeside “bubbly” bars sponsored by this French champagne house at top U.S. ski resorts like Utah’s Deer Valley and Aspen Snowmass in Colorado

In some resorts, après continues well into the night as the alpine night clubs open up down in the villages. What do I wear for Après-ski?
