For example, parents love their children so much that they strive to give them the best that they can. The most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (voluntary prayers or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) until I love him, (so much so that) I become his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me something, I will surely give him, and if he seeks My Protection (refuge), I will surely protect him. In this verse, we are reminded that our time on this earth and in this dunya is limited – we must, therefore, try to understand the importance of forgiveness. It is not for any Prophet to illegally take a part of the booty, and whosoever deceives his companions over the booty, he shall bring forth on the Day of Resurrection that which he took.One means to attain divine love is that one should try to make Allah a shield in every matter and issue. When the Messenger ﷺ was in the state of major ritual impurity and intended to eat or sleep, he would perform wudū, the way he would for prayer.

Concerning the battle of Uhud, the Messenger asked the Companions if they should fortify themselves in Al-Madinah or go out to meet the enemy, and the majority of them requested that they go out to meet the enemy, and he did. As you go through your day in Ramadan, strive to make it a habit to recite this dua constantly as it’s not limited to the last ten days of the month.Here we are reminded that while it may take extra steps to ensure we remain clean and pure, it is not to make our lives more difficult – and we should remain grateful for all the guidance and love Allah continues to shower down upon us. You must imagine the creation of Allah before your eyes and think, ‘These people are beloved to my God. For the person who, at the very least, superficially entrusts their affairs to Allah, acknowledges Allah’s powers and favours; this superficiality eventually becomes genuine, as is the case with most matters in the world. This can leave us feeling helpless but Islam also provides us with Zakat, an effective way to tackle one of the most prevelant forms of injustice which is economic injustice.
